My Approach
My practice as a dramaturg for dance is rooted in a deep inquiry into the effects of audience, performance space, and their cultural contexts they are embedded in on movement and form.
I work collaboratively and sensitively with choreographers to strengthen the conceptual framework of their productions, and provide an informed and challenging dialogue. Utilizing responsive research and creative interventions (primarily through creative writing) I aim to elevate their narrative vision and a piece's impact and emotional resonance of contemporary dance.
Upholding the ethics of conceptual and executive performance is of utmost importance to my dramaturgical intent.
